Do you play brass or percussion?  Do you want to learn how?

Do you love music, and want to share that passion with like minds? Do you want to have fun?

North Shore Brass Academy welcomes you!

Whether you are a player looking to build your skills, reconnect with your love of music,
or just want to get out and have some fun, the Academy is the band for you.

Academy Band

The North Shore Brass Academy Band welcomes experienced up and coming young players.
The Band regularly performs in public and in 2015 competed at its first regional band contest.
This is where players learn the skills that can lead to a seat in the A Grade North Shore Brass.

Understudies

Our very young and very new players come together for their very own rehearsals.
We learn lots about music theory, and work on pieces that
we play at our end of term concerts and public performances.

Getting started

Ever wanted to play in a band?  Join our “Getting Started” programme where
players receive one-on-one tuition with one of our experienced tutors.
It’s a friendly introduction to how a brass band works as a team.
