Belgian cornet superstar Harmen Vanhoorne returns to feature with North Shore Brass in concert on 10 July at the Birkenhead College Theatre.
In 2015, Harmen joined the band on the national contest stage in Rotorua, where he literally blew away the competition to win the prestigious Best Principal Cornet – A grade Own Choice.
Harmen’s style and sound are without peer, and he is in demand as a performer around the world. His cv boasts regular dates with some of the music world’s top orchestras and brass bands.
Last year Harmen and his wife fell in love with the rich and warm tapestry that makes tourists want more. And more they shall have as Harmen tours New Zealand to perform with some of the top brass ensembles around the country, before heading to the national contest in Napier with his Kiwi band, North Shore Brass.
Harmen returns to New Zealand courtesy of international instrument manufacturers Besson, local music business ABI Limited and North Shore Brass.
