In our 100 years this contest is the most anticipated ever as our senior band strives to win the NZ A Grade Championship after a close second in 2022. Harmen Vanhoorne is currently working the musicians hard to achieve a world class performance planned for Dunedin 5-8 July. Joining them will be the current D grade champion band now promoted to C grade  – The North Shore Brass Academy Band under Andrew Leech. Both bands will compete in the NZ Brass Band Championships in Dunedin as well as a swath of soloists and ensembles in the days prior.

Contest Prelude will show case the multiple talents from over 70 musicians and we hope that you can join us on Sunday 2 July.
